Njivice

Island of Krk · 100 m to the beach

Njivice was first mentioned in 1474, in a charter of the Frankopan lords of Krk. What began as a small fishing village has grown into a holiday resort – yet every morning and evening you can still see fishermen heading out to sea.

Clean sea and varied beaches are Njivice's greatest advantage: sandy and rocky beaches, nudist beaches and beaches for dogs. Restaurants serve Mediterranean specialities and pizza, there are beach bars, and on the town promenade you can enjoy events almost every evening – typical of Croatia's coastal culture.

There is a grocery store, a bank with ATMs, a post office, several restaurants and bars and a small port. In winter Njivice is peaceful, with long walks along the sea and through the woods. Locals are friendly and simple – a place to relax and have fun.

More about the history, sights, culture and beaches of Njivice is available from the local tourist board in English, German and Italian.
